Maybe another dodgey seller on eBay

A strange one this:

I won a book earlier this year, paid for it immediately.
I waited about 4 to 6 weeks, no book.

The seller, Randy St.Onge (eBay ID "rzmod") emailed me apologising because he had found the book there at home and had forgotten to send it. He said it was now on it's way to me.

I waited another 4 weeks or so, still no book.
So I started emailing him to try and find out what had happened to my book. I sent several emails over a few weeks, no response.

So I went into eBay a little while later to try and leave some negative feedback about him and found that it was too late to leave feedback about this transaction.

Out of about 150 eBay transactions this is the only one to go wrong.

Watch out for rzmod !!

Update:

I tried one last email to him.
He actually responded this time which made me happy!

He asked for my details so he can try and trace it from his end.
I hope he does.

I've had a couple of situations like that:

The first was a guy selling a pair of Hoeckle 750 cranks on ebay. He quoted a phone number for more information, so I called and he agreed to end the auction. I was able to pay by credit card, which turned out to be very lucky. To cut a long story short, months went by, with many phone calls and faxes - no cranks. They were supposed to have been sent by airmail..oh gear, then went surface mail..(this seems to be a ploy to wait-out the 90 day limit on ebay feedback, and as it turned out, the 90 day limit on claiming the credit card payment back). Fortunately, I had keep copies of the faxes and documented the phone calls, and the credit card company refunded me, and billed him - he bleated that he would prove the cranks had been sent, as he had pstal tracking details...he never provided them. If he had them, I'm sure he would have proved the cranks had been sent. Someone has them and I hope they lie them!

The second case was for a primary gear, bought through ebay from another guy who posted it surface mail not airmail...it never arrived...he eventually agreed to send me 'another' one..which loked just like the photos of the first one!
